Was just the slowest service possible all day. We had to track someone down to get refills. They stil shorted us some drinks so I had to go back to the bar and get them. I had to ask a manager and he only said they were understaffed and then another 5 minutes later I found another manager who finally helped get our drinks. I had to go find her and still we didnt get it. Our food arrived 15 minutes later but we still had no drinks, no condiments, napkins or silver. She took our order since it was apparent she had too much going on. I went to the bar to get someone to come hlep us. The worst part came when we wanted to order food and drinks during bowling. From the time we arrived in line til we actually got checked in and got our shoes was approx 20 minutes (and that was with a reservation). The line to check-in got longer and longer as the new people that were staffed (they said they were new) struggled to get everyone checked in. Went there on Friday during Thanksgiving break. We spent several hours and my Granddaughter had a blast and that’s what it’s all about. Stars and Stripes provided us with an exciting, safe, family friendly environment. We decided to wait until we finished bowling and went to the 7/10 Grille and ordered a pizza. If you need food or drinks while bowling, they offer waitress service or you can do what we did. We spent quality time helping my Granddaughter learn to bowl. This is a large, newly remodeled facility. My wife and I took our four year old Granddaughter to S & S.

Tsunamis occur when there's large scale shifts of mass in the seabed, such during a submarine earthquake or landslide. These dispersive waves in an ocean will be very localized and won't have the energy that a tsunami does. In other words, they lose their energy very quickly. Sure, the energy of the rock hitting the water will produce waves, but the ripples are very dispersive. He likens an asteroid ocean impact to throwing a rock into a pond. "An asteroid impact is a point source and it only affects the immediate region around the impact point and moreover, to create a tsunami, you need something that disturbs the entire water column," said Gisler. Never before has an impact scenario like this been studied in such detail and the simulation revealed that Gisler's original instincts had merit: devastating post-impact tsunamis we see in the movies are as fictional as the science fiction plot lines they are a part of. Despite the comet's size, even at its closest approach 10 years from now, it is currently predicted that it won't be visible to the naked eye, and only the largest amateur telescopes will be able to see it.Gisler is determined to better understand the realities of a massive impact in the ocean and presented his team's findings at the American Geophysical Union's Fall Meeting in San Francisco last week, showcasing the dramatic 3-D modeling results of an ocean-impacting asteroid. For comparison, Pluto is 39 au from the Sun, on average.Ĭurrently, the comet is about as far away as Uranus ( about 3 billion kilometers or 1.8 billion miles away) and has a magnitude of just under 20. The astronomers deduced that the current inward journey of the comet began at a distance of over 40,000 astronomical units (au) from the Sun-in other words 40,000 times farther from the Sun than Earth is, or 6 trillion kilometers away (3.7 trillion miles or 0.6 light-years-1/7 of the distance to the nearest star). We were able to determine that this is probably consistent with CO 2 or NH3 sublimation, but couldn't do much more than that The coma is consistent with a stationary model, and it follows simple sublimation thermodynamics (hence the spherical cow title for the paper!). On Twitter, Bernardnelli said "We were able to determine that this is probably consistent with CO 2 or NH3 sublimation, but couldn't do much more than that." However, a recent Astronomer's Telegram said that the object had brightened with an "outburst" on September 14, from magnitude 20 to 18.9. They also said the coma appears to be displaying normal "simple" sublimation thermodynamics of most comets (hence the spherical cow title for the paper), but they can't predict how much brighter or more active the comet might get as it gets closer to the Sun. They said studying the comet's orbit using astrometry and "backwards integration" suggests this is a pristine new comet, and its previous closest approach to the Sun would have about 3.5 million years ago, only reaching about 18 au (astronomical units = distance of Earth from the Sun) away. They have now posted a paper on Arxiv, with the unusual title of "C/2014 UN271 (Bernardinelli-Bernstein): the nearly spherical cow of comets." The object was then officially classified as a comet.īernardinelli and Bernstein (along with a crew of other astronomers) then began studying this comet in earnest, taking data from all sorts of previous and recent observational sources. They found data of this object that was originally collected from 2014–2018, which did not show a typical comet tail, and the object was therefore thought to be a dwarf planet.īut within a day of the announcement of its discovery via the Minor Planet Center, astronomers using the Las Cumbres Observatory network took new images which revealed that it has grown a coma in the past 3 years, and that it was moving rapidly through the Oort Cloud. They were scouring through data from the 570-megapixel Dark Energy Camera (DECam) on the Víctor M. The comet was discovered Pedro Bernardinelli and Gary Bernstein, from the University of Pennsylvania earlier this year. The graphic above, by astronomer Will Gater compares the size of the comet to other Solar System objects. Astronomers say Comet Bernardinelli-Bernstein (C/2014 UN271) could be the largest member of the Oort Cloud ever detected, and it is the first comet on an incoming path to be detected so far away. Example #2 Step 1: Navigate to the URLĪs previously, we want to go to the website where we want to scrape data from. Let’s jump to the next example of this RSelenium tutorial. Step 2: Let RSelenium Type in the Necessary Fields # Afterward, we have to let RSelenium click the Find button and then we have to scrape the results that will appear in the Latitude and Longitude boxes. In the picture above, we can see the text box Place Name, where we are going to let RSelenium type in our street addresses. For example #2, we are doing something similar with postal codes. In order to do that, we have to let RSelenium type in our addresses, hit the enter button, and then scrape the latitude and longitude coordinates from the website. For example #1, we want to get some latitude and longitude coordinates for some street addresses we have in our data set.In this RSelenium tutorial, we will be going over two examples of how it can be used. RSelenium automates a web browser and lets us scrape content that is dynamically altered by JavaScript for example. This RSelenium tutorial will introduce you to how web scraping works with the R package. However, sometimes we want to scrape dynamic web pages that can only be scraped with RSelenium. Often times, we can use packages such as rvest, scrapeR, or Rcrawler to get the job done. In fact, it is very creative and ensures a unique data set that no one else has analyzed before. Scraping data from the web is a common tool for data analysis. While the cakes are cooling, prepare the cherry filling.Allow the cakes to cool completely before decorating, for at least 4 hours or up to one day. Turn the cakes right side up on the cooling racks. Quickly invert each pan and peel off the parchment paper from the base of each cake. Immediately remove the pans from the oven and place onto cooling racks to rest for 5-10 minutes.Transfer the cake pans to the oven and bake without disturbing them for 15-20 minutes, or until the cakes have risen and the top springs back lightly when you very gently tap it with a finger.Using your spatula, distribute the batter evenly between the three greased cake pans. Continue folding until the ingredients are fully combined and a dark brown batter forms. Using a flexible spatula or bowl scraper, very carefully and slowly fold the dry mix into the eggs, trying not to deflate the volume. In 3 separate additions, sift the dry ingredient mix on top of the egg mixture. Carefully pour the eggs and sugar into a large bowl.Whisk together the cake flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in a small bowl and set aside. The mixture will nearly quadruple in volume, and should flow off the lifted whisk in a steady stream in thick ribbons. On high speed, vigorously whisk the eggs and sugar together until the mixture is very fluffy and pale in color, about 10-15 minutes.
The position of a value in array is called its index starting at zero. In particular, a switch statement compares the value of a variable to the values specified in case statements. Fixed microstepping, Compatible with Arduino Due. Timings is an array - a set of integer values (declared as constants) - so in memory it looks like this: Like if statements, switch case controls the flow of programs by allowing programmers to specify different code that should be executed in various conditions. else, and short two of the wires, if the motor gets harder to turn. In this little 'project' im asked to have a analog sensor which is the potentiometer, regulating the tone of a piezo buzzer using five switch cases according to the analog reading. You can easily do this with nested if statements - but here's how to do it with "switch" switch (reading) Im new around here, and also new about the introduction to arduino and C. Now we will use some LEDs to show the state of the value.Ġ - red 1 - red & amber 2 to 4 - amber 5 to 14 - green and 15 - green & amber. Well I know it sounds pretty weird, but I made code in Arduino which works find when i just use an if statement for every different option. The if statement checks for a condition and executes the following statement or set of statements if the condition is true. We will start by dividing it by 64 to get a value "reading" holding a number in the range 0 - 15. The Arduino programming language Reference, organized into Functions, Variable and Constant, and Structure keywords. Switch allows you to choose between several discrete options. Suppose you've read in a value from a potentiometer using the ADC. When there are more than two options, you can use multiple if statements, or you can use the switch statement. Example 3 uses the switch construct with an EASY example of millis() timing to build a traffic light "state machine".Example 2 reads values from the keyboard via the serial monitor and identifies them as capitals, numbers etc.The delay does not stop at all in the Serial monitor. In my coding, the loop just keeps on running even if I placed a delay in it. What I want obtain in my outcome is that, whenever I pressed the switch once, the value changes. Example 1 which follows tests a value from the ADC and shows "good" and "alarm" conditions on LEDs Hi guys, I have an Arduino UNO, I have validated the below code works. You will need an Arduino Uno (the programs will run on most arduinos) three leds - preferably red, yellow, green - some resistors around 220 ohms - 2k2 - and a potentiometer. If you tell us what it is youre trying to do, we could maybe suggest a solution. This tutorial has three examples that progressively introduce some simple ideas to help you use the switch construct in your programming. too bad there isnt something like switch / case for multiple variables, that would be slick. Click PLC High Speed Counter Input Frequency Measurement Mode The simple example chosen below decodes characters received from the serial port. The switch - case statement is a powerful construct that is often under-used by beginners.īasically it allows you to perform tests on a value (or range of values) and make decisions - a bit like the IF statement. The best way to understand it is using an example first coded using Arduino if else statements and then translated into Arduino switch case statements. In total, the number of ASCT reported to the European Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation in 2018 exceeds 27,750, including more than 560 for non-malignant disorders, mostly autoimmune diseases, and 1545 for solid tumours. multiple sclerosis, systemic sclerosis and Crohn’s disease. HDC and ASCT are also used in solid tumours such as neuroblastoma, sarcoma, germinal tumours and autoimmune diseases e.g. High-dose chemotherapy (HDC) and autologous stem cell transplantation (ASCT) constitute a standard of care in the treatment of heamatologic malignancies, in particular, multiple myeloma, malignant lymphoma and acute myeloid leukaemia. Fluoroquinolone prophylaxis is recommended to prevent bacterial infections, although a survival advantage has not been demonstrated. Thus, AGIHO only supports this technique with marginal strength. Data do not support a benefit of protective room ventilation e.g. Invasive fungal diseases are less frequent after HDC/ASCT, therefore, primary systemic antifungal prophylaxis is not recommended. Cotrimoxazole for the prevention of Pneumocystis jirovecii is supported. Prevention of VZV reactivation by vaccination is strongly recommended. For patients with HBs antigen and/or anti-HBc antibody positivity, HBV nucleic acid testing is strongly recommended for 6 months after HDC/ASCT or for the duration of a respective maintenance therapy. In addition to HBV and HCV, HEV screening is nowadays mandatory prior to ASCT. This guideline not only focuses on patients with haematological malignancies but also addresses the specifics of HDC/ASCT patients with solid tumours or autoimmune disorders. To ensure the safety of high-dose chemotherapy and autologous stem cell transplantation (HDC/ASCT), evidence-based recommendations on infectious complications after HDC/ASCT are given. In this way, the illusion of fluid movement is maintained. The objects are physically manipulated frame by frame to exhibit independent motion. After gathering all of the films across cinema history, we’re sorting them by Tomatometer, with Certified Fresh films first.Stop motion is considered to be a filmmaking technique used in animated films. Other films that combine live-action and and stop-motion include Selick’s James and the Giant Peach and Jan Svankmajer’s Alice. He got his start on 1949’s Mighty Joe Young (working with the same team behind the milestone ape effects of King Kong), and over the next three decades, ignited imaginations in fantasy and sword-and-sandals by bringing monsters to life in films like Jason and the Argonauts and Clash of the Titans.
